Jax – A Survivor’s Tail
Thursday, October 7, 2010

Two years ago we celebrated the rescue of a severely injured baby dolphin in the St. John’s River. Jax won the hearts of many Jacksonville area residents who have continued to help with his support through donations and visits to his permanent home at Dolphin Research Center, a nonprofit marine mammal education and research facility in the heart of the Florida Keys.

Jax

With the success of this past benefit and the overwhelming concern for his continued support by many people in the Jacksonville area, we invite you to join us on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 6:00 PM in the Terrace Suite at EverBank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, for a benefit to celebrate Jax as a survivor with a “tail” for all to know. Representatives from Dolphin Research Center will update us on Jax’s progress with videos and slide shows of this remarkable dolphin. The evening will also feature a benefit auction of artwork, custom hand-crafted fine jewelry, gifts, sports memorabilia, and many other items. Chef Tim Hoch of Levy Restaurants will present a delicious buffet dinner while we are entertained by some very talented local artists.

Admission to this gala evening is $50 and a table for 8 can be reserved for $400. Sponsorships are also available. Additional information and advance reservations can be made by calling 305-289-1121 extension 241 or online by clicking HERE. We would also like to reach out to those who would be willing to donate auction items for this event. All proceeds will benefit Jax’s continued care at Dolphin Research Center. If you cannot attend but would like to contribute, please click HERE and put ‘Jax’ in the comment field.
