Florida
Keys Unaffected by Oil Spill |
| |
While
everyone continues to closely
monitor the oil spill in the northern
Gulf of Mexico, we’re relieved
and happy to report that the Florida
Keys and Dolphin Research Center
remain oil free. Unfortunately,
the overwhelming focus on the
oil spill has created false impressions
in the minds of thousands of potential
visitors who mistakenly believe
that the Keys are already drastically
impacted with oil.
This
is simply not true! We’re
doing our best to counteract the
negative images, and so are tourism
partners in the Florida Keys,
as well as throughout the state.
That’s why each week, you’ll
see freshly-taken photographs
posted on the DRC blog. The official
Florida Keys website is also putting
up new video footage every week.
You can see for yourself that
our beautiful islands are open
with all the fun-filled activities
taking place. It’s a perfect
time to visit. To see the most
recent videos, visit http://www.fla-keys.com!
