| At
Dolphin Research Center, a colony of bottlenose
dolphins and the people who care for them are creating
a greater understanding and appreciation of marine mammals
and the environment we share. We are dedicated to learning
from dolphins and teaching what we know for the mutual
benefit of both species. To accomplish this goal, Dolphin
Research Center provides a variety of educational
opportunities, including our internationally acclaimed
DolphinLab and DolphinCamp programs.
Established in 1985, DolphinLab
allows students of many ages and backgrounds to learn
about dolphins in a unique natural setting. Three
acres of land along the Gulf of Mexico accommodate
offices and outdoor classrooms, while ninety thousand
square feet of seawater lagoons bordered by low perimeter
fences house our dolphin family.
