We offer a number of great field trip opportunities for you and your students. All of our field trips can be modified to suit groups ranging in age from pre-kindergarten to adult!
Dolphin Discovery
Come spend a couple of hours at DRC learning about marine
mammals and their ocean environment. During the field trip your group will: |

- Take a self guided tour of DRC
- Listen to publicly narrated sessions on dolphin biology and conservation, dolphin training, husbandry and medical care, current research and much more!
- Engage in a private question and answer session with one of our education staff members.
Cost: $15.00 per person, based on a minimum attendance of 15 people.
*As a part of DRC's educational mission, school groups in Monroe County may participate in Dolphin Discovery free of charge. Teachers are requested to call in advance to arrange their visit. School groups must present documentation of Monroe County status upon arrival.
Dolphin Day Trips
Bring your class to spend a half-day at DRC discovering the amazing capabilities of dolphins! All of our Dolphin Day Trips include a private tour of Dolphin Research Center and time to observe two publicly narrated sessions about our dolphins and/or sea lions. Choose one of the Dolphin Day Trips described below. |

- Watch a research session and observe the dolphins from our research tower.
Manatees and Sea Lions
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about sea lions.
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about manatees, tour our manatee rescue equipment, and hear about our rescue
efforts.
- Get a closer look at a sea lion with a private sea lion demonstration.
Endangered Marine Mammals
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about river dolphins.
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about manatees, tour our manatee rescue equipment, and hear about our rescue efforts.
- Get a closer look at a dolphin with a private biology demonstration.
Marine Mammal Law and Conservation
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about marine mammal law.
- Participate in a 30-minute discussion about conservation and tour our manatee rescue equipment.
- Get a closer look at a dolphin with a private biology demonstration.
Cost: $30.00 per person, based on a minimum attendance of 10 people.
We can add any of the interactive programs listed below to to your Dolphin Day Trip to allow your students an opportunity to meet a dolphin face-to-face!
Arrangements for additional programs must be made with the Education Department at time of booking your Dolphin Day Trip program. Costs for any add-on programs are in addition to the base price of the Dolphin Day Trip program. Additional programs are available based on the needs and ability of our dolphin family at the time of the program being booked.
