Cayo
Cayo, born in 2006, follows in the fluke-prints of mother Merina and sisters Pandora and Calusa. This independent, free-spirited "island girl" is quite the little athlete. She often practices dives, speed runs, breaches and other behaviors on her own between sessions! Cayo adores visitors and one of her favorite pastimes is doing Dolphin Encounters.

Delta
Delta, was born at 2:22 p.m. on November 22, 2009. His mother is Aleta and his father is Kibby. He was "extra large" for a newborn and advanced when it came to understanding his world. At only five months old, he was already taking off to do little dives on signal. A typical boy, Delta enjoys playing with balls. He likes tossing them over fences, and any behavior involving action!

Flagler
Flagler, Merina's first male calf, was born on 11/15/10. He's proved to follow very closely in his mother's and big sisters' fluke prints. He has quickly shown interest in his trainers and at four months old started to take an interest in eating fish. He is very playful and intuitive and can often be seen playing with various objects around his lagoon.

Gambit
Gambit is the youngest of Tursi's calves and was born 11/05/10. He's a very inquisitive youngster and always checks out different objects that float on the surface of his lagoon. If he takes after his mom and older siblings Talon, Pax and Gypsi, he's sure to be a super athlete, too!

Gypsi
Gypsi, Tursi's third offspring and first daughter, definitely inherited the determination and athleticism that come with the Flipper gene. Born in 2007, she's very enthusiastic to learn new behaviors and meet new friends, especially in the Dolphin Encounter program.
If you'd like to adopt Gypsi, please click here.

Jax
Jax was rescued, alone and injured, from the Jacksonville area in March 2007 when he was believed to be about eight months old. A survivor of a shark attack, he's missing part of his dorsal fin, tail fluke and right pectoral flipper. Since arriving in January of 2008 this young boy continually wins the hearts of all who meet him, both human and dolphin.

Louie
Louie is a young male dolphin that was discovered on Fourchon Beach, LA, on September 2, 2010, covered in oil and suffering additional injuries. Estimated to be between one and two years old when rescued, and lacking adequate skills to survive on his own, he was deemed non-releasable by the federal government and joined DRC's family on February 6, 2011. We named him Louie to honor his Louisiana roots, and he now represents DRC's mission to provide a forever home to marine mammals in need.

Luna
Luna was born in January 2010 on the night of a blue moon. This little girl is DRC's first "fourth generation" dolphin as both her mother Pandora and grandmother Merina were also born at DRC. Luna is a spirited, bright youngster who boldly investigates her surroundings and loves to learn new things.

Merina
Merina, mother of Pandora, Calusa, Cayo, and, most recently, Flagler, is a lovely lady born at DRC in 1984. Extremely people-oriented and creative, Merina is a delightful show-off, as well as a gentle helper in our Special Needs Program.

Molly
Molly came to live at DRC in June of 1996 after a rather perilous life, including traveling the country performing in "road shows" and once taking a "walk on the wild side". Another of our mature ladies, Molly overflows with dolphinality and loves to dress up her flippers with scarves. Most of which are donated by her adoptive parent-members. In fact Molly loves scarves so much she'll hide them in different lagoons so when she moves she always has a new wardrobe change available.

Pandora
Pandora was born at DRC on a stormy November evening in 1997. She is the daughter of Merina and Kibby and mother to Luna. As her name implies, she is curious and free-spirited. When walking by she will let you know she is there by screaming and making lots of noises, so always say hi as you pass by Pandora.

Pax
Pax was born at DRC on Easter Sunday in 1997 to Tursi and Rainbow. This independent little guy continues our Flipper lineage as the second grandson of two Flipper dolphins. He amazes his trainers at how quickly he catches on to anything new, and absolutely loves to people watch. Like many in his family line, he's also very active and athletic.

Rainbow
Rainbow is a male who became a permanent member of the DRC family in October, 1991. Rambunctious and flirtatious, "Bo" can barely take his attention away from the ladies long enough to display his athletic tail walks or learn husbandry behaviors. Keep your eyes on the sky because that is where you can find our "Bodacious" showing off.

Sandy
Sandy arrived with Rainbow and is also a male. Born in 1979 at an inland marine park, his arrival at DRC marked the first time he had experienced a natural environment. Although once considered shy, this strong, silent type dolphin has revealed to us an energetic side not to be suppressed.

Santini
Santini is a hot-shot female born at DRC in 1986. The mother of Tanner, she is extremely enthusiastic and adaptable to new training as well as being very gentle and friendly. She is a perfect participant in the Special Needs Program.

Tanner is also the dolphin most noted for his efforts in the recent DRC publication of the blindfolded imitation research project.

Lina
Lina had established a pattern of showing up alone on California beaches, always underweight. After several rehabilitation and release attempts, she was designated as a 'repeat strander' by the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Marine Mammal Care Center at Ft. McArthur in San Pedro. Estimated to be younger than two when she joined the DRC family on January 13, 2011, Lina is a very active, loving and bold sea lion who has definitely warmed our hearts.
